Accommodation in Ireland
Here is your guide to booking accommodation in Ireland. The Cycle Ireland App features some accomodation of all types, particularly in more remote areas where we have linear routes.
There are hotels all across Ireland and they will usually store your bike somewhere inside. Check ahead if the hotel is in the centre of a town as it may not have the space for bikes, but these would be rare. You can use the usual hotel booking sites for Irish hotels.
Bed and Breakfasts
Bed and Breakfasts are generally family run (keep this in mind for check-in times) and have several bedrooms. There has been a big increase in professionalism across this sector and many of them are excellent choices, along with being located in more remote areas where there are no hotels.
Most have their own websites or you can search www.bandbireland.com and find bed and breakfasts which have facilities for cyclists.
Inns and Lodges
Many rural pubs have a few rooms upstairs so don’t rule these out.
These can be a great option for single travellers or in remote areas. Check www.independenthostelsireland.com, anoige.ie and the usual international sites.
Most campsites are outside towns. Try www.camping-ireland.ie to book one.
