From Ardara you soon reach the beautiful Santa Ana Drive, named after a ship from the Spanish Armada which was wrecked there in 1588.

The route goes through some fantastic scenery on a narrow road that winds up, down and around the landscape before returning to Ardara and crossing the hills and you ride down into Donegal.

Ardara is a heritage town and a popular draw for tourists. This route can be combined with the Donegal – Malinmore – Ardara Cycle for a spectacular two-day trip from Donegal Town.
