This is the scenic first part of our 5-day Mizen to Malin trip. You start by cycling 35km along the length of the beautiful Mizen Peninsula as far as Durrus. You then go over several small hills in West Cork with some great views of the area. The last section of the route is an easy run to Macroom.

It is a great part of Ireland to cycle in.

This is day one of our Mizen to Malin route. The five days are Mizen Head to Macroom, Macroom to Limerick, Limerick to Athlone, Athlone to Enniskillen and Enniskillen to Malin Head. It’s a very direct route, one of the shortest possible, combining R roads with quieter backroads.

Attractions

Mizen Head in the southwest of the country is considered to be the end of Ireland. There is a lighthouse and spectacular cliffs.
