This reasonably easy loop goes through the famous town of Avoca and then onto the nearby Meeting of The Waters.
The route then goes over the hills through the Wicklow countryside to Brittas Bay and back along the coast to Arklow.
The Military Road is legendary among Dublin cyclists.
Built by the British government in the early 1800s to help them root insurgents out of the Wicklow Mountains, it passes over 3 classic passes and through some of the nicest landscapes in Leinster. It’s tough, but a ride you will never forget.
