The road to Kilmichael

This route is a great option to reach Cork City from beautiful West Cork – one of the finest areas of Ireland to cycle in.

You ride north from Bantry through hilly country. After Kealkill you climb the Pass of Keimaneigh and pass Gougane Barra.

Cork Cobh Cycle Loop Route

The Cork Cobh Cycle passes benches Cuskinny Beach

From Cork train station, ride south through the suburbs on this Cork Cobh cycle, over a hill which will give wonderful views of Cork Harbour. Then you get the Passage West ferry to Cobh Island, and do a short tour of the island.

On quiet roads, you go past two secluded beaches and then the spectacular descent through Cobh town. Finish by getting the train back to Kent.

Cycle Cork – Kinsale Loop

Cycle Cork – Kinsale Loop to the gastronomic superstar town of Kinsale, the perfect pace to go after working up an appetite.

It is a great place to stay for an evening, if you want to break the ride in two. Though short, it has a number of short steep hills, but the great views compensate for tired legs.
