From Malin Head, you hug the north coast of the Inishowen Peninsula, going up and down into numerous small coves. After a long descent into Greencastle, you have a mostly flat 30km run into Derry.
It’s a neat addition to a Mizen to Malin cycle, if you have the time.
This tour passes the remarkable Devenish Island before heading through quiet countryside to Omagh.
The lovely Gortin Glen section takes you near the Sperrin Mountains before passing through Strabane and cycling the beautiful Foyle Valley and entering the walled city of Derry on a bike path.
