Dungaire Castle is the highlight of the flat and easy run in to Galway City. Get there early to make a night of it.

Cycle Galway to Clifden Route

As you cycle Galway to Clifden you pass the famous Salthill Beach and through several small villages. You pass Rossaveal, from where several boats a day leave for the magnificent Aran Islands – well worth a day or two’s visit.

As you ride on you enter more and more remote territory and get to enjoy quieter and quieter roads. The Twelve Bens loom into view to the north.
