Old Head of Kinsale Cycle Loop


This short loop takes you through beautiful Sandycove and then on the famous Old Head of Kinsale. Then you spin down to Garretstown Beach and on to Ballinspittle.

The route back to Kinsale takes you past Ballinspittle Shrine, which became famous in the 1980s. You pack in a lot in a short distance on this route.

The Baltimore Cork to Kinsale Cycle takes you along the beautiful West Cork coastline to the town of Kinsale. You pass through numerous coves, bays and villages and a whole bunch of attractions on the way.

Most of the day you are either going up or downhill – it’s not to be underestimated.

Cycle Cork – Kinsale Loop to the gastronomic superstar town of Kinsale, the perfect pace to go after working up an appetite.

It is a great place to stay for an evening, if you want to break the ride in two. Though short, it has a number of short steep hills, but the great views compensate for tired legs.
