It includes the famous Gap of Mamore – the bane of many a cyclist – bring your lowest gears!

Malin Head – Greencastle – Derry Cycle

Cycling beside Lough Foyle

From Malin Head, you hug the north coast of the Inishowen Peninsula, going up and down into numerous small coves. After a long descent into Greencastle, you have a mostly flat 30km run into Derry.

It’s a neat addition to a Mizen to Malin cycle, if you have the time.

Enniskillen to Malin Head Cycle

The road over the hills to Carndonagh

From Enniskillen you ride north across small hills and countryside that grows ever more scenic.

You pass the Grianan of Aileach above Derry City and have a climb in the centre of the Inishowen Peninsula that gets you off the main road before the last leg to Malin Head.
