Mallow to Ballyvourney Cycle


This is a short but tough spin starting in Mallow around the Boggeragh Mountains of North Cork on the way to Ballyvourney near the Cork – Kerry border.

The area is superb for cycling – quiet and hilly with great views across the region. This is a quiet part of the country, with little traffic and overlooked by tourists.

Macroom to Limerick Cycle

The road to Donoughmore

The first half of this route is quite scenic and you pass several attractions in the area around Kilmallock and a little further on at Lough Gur.

You cycle north from Macroom through rolling hills in North Cork with some nice views. You pass through a couple of villages on the way to Mallow.
