Carnsore Point Cycle Route Loop

The road to Carnsore Point

This is a short trip through a laid-back part of the country to Carnsore Point. Now the site of a wind farm, it is famous for being the site of a proposed nuclear plant in the 1970s. A protest movement found popular support and to this day Ireland remains nuclear-free.

This tour goes on to The Coombe, a huge beach next to Carnsore Point.

Rosslare – Kilmore Quay Cycle Loop

The road to Our Lady's Island

This loop runs from Rosslare down to the pretty seaside village of Kilmore Quay.

From there you head east along a road running parallel to the coast towards Carnsore Point – Ireland’s southeastern tip, and then on to nearby Coombe Beach.
