This is a short trip through a laid-back part of the country to Carnsore Point. Now the site of a wind farm, it is famous for being the site of a proposed nuclear plant in the 1970s. A protest movement found popular support and to this day Ireland remains nuclear-free.
This tour goes on to The Coombe, a huge beach next to Carnsore Point.
This loop runs from Rosslare down to the pretty seaside village of Kilmore Quay.
From there you head east along a road running parallel to the coast towards Carnsore Point – Ireland’s southeastern tip, and then on to nearby Coombe Beach.
